These courses are for senior military and police officers, government officials, parliamentarians, and civil society leaders involved in defence and security governance, management, and planning in SADC member states.
They are aimed at:
- Enhancing participants' conceptual, analytical, management, and planning skills;
- exploring key issues in defence and security governance, management and planning, as well as civil-military relations; and
- providing an environment in which key players in the southern African security field can interact in a structured way in order to develop a basis for a common security strategy.
